Hefei World Foreign Language School was founded in 2000 with the investment of Shanghai Zhongrui Holding Group. The school covers an area of 153.6 mu, with a total construction area of 55,000 square meters. It is a 12-year boarding school for kindergarten, primary school and high school, with more than 3,000 Chinese and foreign students from South Korea, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Australia and the United States. The school is located in Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone, with Hui Park as the screen and Lake Creek as the belt. Over the years, the school has been adhering to the guidance of teaching and research, survival by teaching quality and development by teaching characteristics, fully implementing the strategy of high-quality products, internationalization of practical education, and striving to cultivate interdisciplinary talents with innovative spirit and practical ability.

In 2012, the students of the first "Japanese Experimental Class" were successfully admitted to Japan University for further study. In April 2016, it became the first middle school in Anhui province to obtain the A-level qualification. In 2004, it was first approved by the Provincial Department of Education as a school with the qualification to enroll foreign students. In March 2006, it was designated by the Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government as a designated school for children of foreigners. Foreign students perform well in the Chinese Language Proficiency Test (HSK) every year. Korean student Kwon Xuee was admitted by Tsinghua University with excellent grades. This is the first foreign student admitted by Tsinghua University in our province.
